For instance, for over 50 years, self-taught chef Diadira Picado shaped the soul of Tortillas Food & Drink — blending traditional Costa Rican flavors with international influences. Although she is now retired, her recipes and passion live on through her son and family, who continue the tradition with the same care and authenticity.

Wonderful Cannot give this restaurant enough praise. Tacos to die for and the best chocolate brownies we have ever had. Service was excellent, always attentive, and with a smile. Restaurant felt very welcoming and relaxed. Keep up the great work.

So good we came back the next day Great food, service, and drinks! We ate here for dinner and it was so good we came back the next day for lunch. It was great for kids and the service was spectacular. I highly recommend the chicken with maracuya sauce, it was delicious.

Local, home cooked with friendly service So a long drive, a little tired and found our hotel for the evening (Monteverde Country Lodge). Didn’t want to walk far - found this little restaurant. Wow - absolutely lovely. Food all fresh and top notch with local flavours, craft Costa Rican beers and friendly attentive service. The vegetarian nachos were superb, chicken and mushroom hearty, tacos tasty and the pasta and rice dishes in our party of seven were soon finished. A lovely evening - Thankyou.

Do I Need Reservation?

Not necessarily. If your party has fewer than 8 guests, a reservation isn't required, although we highly recommend one, as it allows us to prepare for your arrival and provide the best possible service. You can book online using the "Reserve a Table" button. During busy hours and peak seasons, reservations also help us serve your meal more efficiently and keep waiting times to a minimum.
